The Late Rain

A piece from last year that I've been meaning to put up. Started out as something random to spend two hours on for art homework. Turned into this.

At the time, I'd just discovered the game Siren: Blood Curse, which is really disturbing. The enemies, shibito, bleed from their eyes, and watch television, and it rains blood, and the village is surrounded by an infinite sea of blood-red water and there are time loops, and the final boss battle is trippy, and I'm ending this sentence right now.

...Not that I've played it. I just watched the walkthrough. I know, I'm a wimp.

Well, to make those last two paragraphs relevant, shibitos were what I was thinking of when I painted this. The ear got messed up, and the nose is too small, but, you know, maybe she's an elf.

And then the late rain came to cleanse my tears, but the sky cried crimson too.
